Blog 3: Good VS Evil- Margaret

I do not believe in absolute good or evil. I think that most people have both good and evil tendencies in them and depending on their morals and the situations they’re put in, that’s how they choose which path to follow. Let’s look at the age old tale of Robin Hood. I think most people can agree that stealing is immoral; however, what happens when you steal from evil people and give to the less fortunate. Is stealing in that situation still considered evil? I, myself, haven’t decided how I feel about that. I think context plays a big role in whats considered good and evil too. That said, I also believe that since there are people in this world who strive to only do good in life, like Mother Theresa, there are people in this world who choose to be as evil as they can too. These people have good in them but they feel that because they can do malicious things that they will. Either way, there is good and evil in all people and it’s up to us to choose which tendencies we act on.
