Assignment 3: Drew

However I don't believe there is a clear distinction between absolute good and absolute evil. Unlike the classic villain versus hero, in the real world no such division exists. No human being is all good or all evil. Sure, there are people who are almost all good and almost all evil, but, again, there are no absolutes. But surely Hitler was absolutely evil, right? There's no denying the terrible things he did but while he did commit many atrocities and plunge the world into war, he also brought Germany out of one of the deepest depressions in its history, feeding a literally starving German people. And on the reverse side, surely people like Abraham Lincoln were all good, right? Well, Lincoln was certainly a good person, yes, and certainly did good things, but he, like every human being, was not perfect. He got in fights with his wife on a number of occasions, and more than once humiliated his opponents in public. So while there is good and evil in the world, I would say there are no absolutes.
