Assignment 2

If I had been born in the past, I can imagine that my life would be very different.  In some ways, I think that I might have preferred if we did not have cell phones.  I would love to talk to my friends on the phone, instead of just texting them, but it seems like hardly anyone does that anymore.  Also, I think that with less technology, we would be better at carrying on a conversation.  Often, when you go out to a restaurant, people are sitting around a table, apparently spending time together, but they are actually ignoring the people they are with for their texting buddies.  I think that the art of writing a letter would be brought back, as well.  I think that this is such an important skill, and it is sad that so many people do not use this form of communication anymore.   I would love to live in the 1950s.  I guess this comes from seeing movies from/about that time period.  I love the fashion, dancing, and the music.
