Assignment 7- Brittany

A single day can change the world. However small it may be, it can impact millions of people and change lives. It can change the way that people live. On October 2^nd, 1895 the first comic strip was printed in a newspaper. This seems harmless enough. Think about all the people that read the newspaper and read the comics now, how many people find joy and humor in such a small thing. I myself have laughed over a comic strip in a newspaper and I’m sure most people have found themselves doing that at least once. It’s funny how such a small thing can seem insignificant at one time, but can later impact so many lives. Comics have obviously grown since then. I find it interesting that other than simply being entertaining, they can be used to comment on social issues and other things. It’s crazy that one day can make such a huge difference.
