Assignment 14

My thanksgiving usually consists of a huge meal of comfort food and pitchers of ice tea. Our meal has always been at my house and my mom single-handedly prepares all of it. Our thanksgiving meal ranges from everything of homemade macaroni and cheese to pecan pie. I could just be biased but I'm pretty sure my mother is the best cook in the world. Her turkey is baked to perfection and broccoli casserole has the best broccoli to cheese ratio. Just thinking about it is making me incredibly hungry.
Typically on thanksgiving our tradition is my sister and me watching the thanksgiving day parade, my dad waking aimlessly through the house stealing morsels of food and the Charlie Brown Christmas CD playing over our speakers.
This year however, we are eating our thanksgiving meal at our country club due to my moms new demanding job. I have high expectations for this meal. Even though it's going to be prepared by professionals I'm sure it doesn't stand a chance against my moms cooking. Not to mention no leftovers! That's practically a necessity for thanksgiving.
