Assignment 14- Genghis

Despite how unusual my family can be at times, when I think about it our thanksgiving is actually fairly normal. We go to my grandmothers house out in Woodford County, she lives on a 72 acre farm with a quaint little home in the middle. We usually arrive at about 2 or 3, and are always scheduled to eat at around 3, but we never do until 4. I don't know why we eat at 4, it is almost perfectly in between lunch and dinner, making it impossible to categorize it as either. When it comes time to eat we lay out all of the food in a buffet style line then proceed to fill up our plates with as much food as they can hold. We usually are given a seating chart created by my grandmother that can be easily used to determine who her favorite, and least favorite relative is. We eat talking casually, catching up on what everyone has been up to since the last major holiday when we've last seen each other. Dinner lasts about an hour, then we eat a traditional pumpkin pie, and leave. Occasionally we'll take a small walk to the creek or do something different, for instance this year after our meal, my cousin taught me how to drive a standard shift.
