Assignment 12-Garrett Uebelhor

In August my life changed forever, instead of my normal level-headed driver I was tasked with becoming the car for a new impulsive teenager. Fresh from the DMV he was still jerky on stops and impatient on the start. He seemed to make a game out of accelerating quickly and often zigzagged down the road on his way to school. Luckily these past few weeks have been a learning experience for both us; I have recently found God and have become a faithful follower of his will. Doing my best to assure my-self a place in Heaven for the inevitable day where my driver loses focuses one too many times.  Yet as I prepared myself for the worst I begun to realize my driver was also developing new found philosophies. He seemed to start realizing just how much responsibility driving was, and began to barely even want to look down to change the radio station. My 13 year old life has taught me much over the years, and my experience with this teenager maybe even more. When he first got behind the wheel I was constantly afraid of dying, yet know I realize I should be more afraid of never truly living. Although I do not approve of my masters methods he did teach me something important, sometimes you have to just live in the moment.  You never know when you might be purchased by a driver who is older than physically possible and thinks the maximum speed limit should be 25 mph.  Seize the day while you can.
